Hello everyone,
The Proposed Variation to the Kilkenny City & Environs Development Plan
2014-2020 and the Draft Masterplan for the Abbey Creative Quarter (former
Smithwick’s Brewery and Bateman Quay/Market Yard) are, from today, on
public display for a 4 week period from Tuesday the 23rd of June to Tuesday
the 21st of July 2015.
The public notices (published in the Kilkenny People on the 19th of June)
and the documentation for both processes are published online at:
https://consult.kilkenny.ie/en/browse
You may also view this documentation at the Planning Department in County
Hall, John Street or in Carnegie Library, John’s Quay during office
opening hours.
An informal public information evening will be held in The Maltings,
Tilbury Place, Kilkenny on Thursday the 25th of June 2015 from 4pm–7pm
where all the documentation will be on public display and Council staff
will be present to answer any queries.
Submissions on both processes are welcome before 5pm Tuesday the 21st of
July 2015. Submissions may be made online at http:\\consult.kilkenny.ie,
or by e-mail to ourplan@kilkennycoco.ie, or in writing to Sean McKeown,
Director of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, John Street,
Kilkenny. Submissions must be marked ‘Variation’ or ‘Masterplan’
where applicable.
A Chief Executive’s report outlining all the submissions made will then
be presented to the Councillors for their consideration. A special
meeting of Kilkenny County Council will be held on Friday the 31st of July
2015 to determine the Variation and the Masterplan.
